Merry Little Labels
Another ICS blog hop for you
today. I am sharing a fun card where I
used the Stampin’ Write Markers to ink the stamp. This one took a little patience as there were
no defined lines for the snow, or the bottom area of the border in the design.
Card Front
The background of this card is Pool
Party card stock topped with Year of Cheer DSP.
I added an additional piece of the DSP that is matted with Gold Foil
Paper and includes a pretty bow from Pool Party Shimmer Ribbon. Once I punched out the label I carefully
trimmed it close to the border so I could punch out another label from the foil paper as
a mat. This is added to the card with Stampin’
Dimensionals.

It’s hard to see, however, the
snow and
stars are covered with Wink Of Stella
I liked this card so much I
decided to create a matchbook style gift tag.
I used the Year of Cheer DSP as the base because it is thick enough to
create the tag. This was cut 7.25” x
2.25” and scored at 2.5” and 6”.
The label is position so that the top small fold can slip between the label and the bottom DSP. Tip: Do not use the Stampin’ Dimensionals or the flap will keep popping out.
I used the markers again to ink the ‘For/From’ sentiment from the Merry Little Labels stamp set. I goofed up, so I stamped it again onto Pool Party card stock and inserted inside. The 1/8” Gold Ribbon helped to hold the top fold like a matchbox. I didn’t want use a staple like a ‘real’ matchbook.
