Simple Sentiments

EZ - PZ Designs!

I love to go over the top with my cards most of the time.  However, sometimes something simple can be just right.  Here are few ideas from Stampin' Friends that I thought you might like to try . . .

One big flower on a Whisper White background, a dot of Bling from Basic Rhinestones, and a simple sentiment on a popped up banner and you have a great way to say Thank You!

Want something make gifts faster?  How about our great Note Cards & Envelopes?  Just add a card stock banner, and a circle sentiment popped on top...make the whole package and give them as a gift!  Super Simple, but you'll be the best friend ever!

Isn't this last card simply elegant?  Cut a frame out of paper and sponge through it...or stamp your ink pad directly on the card stock.  Then stamp your image and simple sentiment.  Although this one is matted on Basic Black, then back onto Whisper White...it's still simple to make but packs a punch of elegance for the receiver!

Creating greetings and gifts doesn't have to be hard work.  Just give it that little 'KISS' (Keep It Simple Sweetie) and Viola!

Just Stampin' Around

Wheel-y
Cool!

Rubber Bands On Wheels!

In the May issue of Michigan Scrapbooker Magazine my article (Stamp Station) is on how to use the Stampin' Around Wheels.  Although there are a variety of things you can do with them, I thought I would post a fun video I made a while back with some samples that show a few Retiring Stamp Sets...Get 'em while you can!!

These card samples use the Nature Walk, and Greeting Card Kids stamp sets.  Both of these sets are retiring from the Stampin' Up! Catalog so . . . you may want to get them while you can! Also, the More Mustard card stock & ribbon (above) are also retiring.

Giddy Up!

I love this card!

I received this card in a swap at Leadership in January and just love it.  I am not a 'horse person' and don't own the stamp shown, but there is something about this card that seems to draw attention to it.  It is always commented on when people are in a class at the Stamp Sell-er so I thought I should share it with all of you.

It was created by Denise Robson.  I love how she created a horse's mane with card stock but just clipping it into a fringe.   Great Job Denise!

Swallowtail

Butterflies!

When the Swallowtail stamp came out in January I didn't care if I ever used it on a project, I just knew I wanted it!  In fact, when my husband saw it he asked what I planned to do with it and I said, "I plan to put it on my shelf and just look at how beautiful it is!"    I am happy to report that I have found several reasons to take it down from the shelf and stamp with it!

Here's a few ideas from me and some other demonstrator friends . . .

The one below is my 'Award Winning' Business Advisor Program notebook.  Really, I won a Free Stamp Set because the Stampin' Up! Business Advisor's  liked my design.  It really does Pay To Stamp For A living!!

Ohhh La La a french butterfly!

I wish I knew who created this one below, I love the simplisity of it...so lovely!

A honeycomb of

Butterflies!

I'm sure you must know by now that I love to copy ideas.  I get them from magazines, television ads, billboards, you name it...I like to see if I can recreate the idea using my Stampin' Up! products.
Today's CASE comes from an advertisement I saw on Television that showed a field of flowers with some birds flying over it...believe it or not it was an ad for a car!  Now don't get too impressed, I happen to have this Designer Series Paper on my desk and the butterfly punch was sitting on top of it.  I looked away from the TV to see it and it seemed to fit.  It's crooked because it was crooked on my desk and I liked the look of it being a bit askew.

You never know where inspiration may come from so . . . just go for it.  It's only paper and you can always take it apart or [gasp!] throw it out!

Until Next Time . . .

Layer on the Stamps

And Pile On the Card Stock!
I have shared this 'telescoping' card idea often in the last several months.  At Workshops, classes, clubs, . . . and what I have descovered is that it just never seems to get old!  All it takes is a little different way to layer it and you have a whole new look.

Here are a few fun ideas for you!

The one below was created by my husband, Michael.
Yep, he's a keeper!

I love how with a little twist each card is unique.  Have you tried this yet?
