Secret Box of Goodies

THIS IS SO COOL!

I am still pinching myself over this, but about 3-4 weeks ago I received a call from Stampin' Up! that I was one only FOUR demonstrators chosen to participate in a special advertising campaign.  In this campaign a New Hostess chosen from a website called 'Cafe Mom' will be hosting a Workshop.  I will be the demonstrator at that workshop.

The Hostess is VERY excited, can't give all the details right now, sorry.  But we have been chatting back and forth and last week I got to meet her in person when she stopped over to pick the hand-made invitations that Stampin' Up! provided, along with the postage...they are so cool they must be 'hand stamped' at the Post Office and therefore require special postage.

Stampin' Up! is also providing me with all the necessary supplies to create the make & take projects, hostess gifts, etc.  All of which were designed by one of their Concept Artists and Me!  OK, I just gave her some details and put my input into it....but still...and me!  LOL

Here's the box I received today......

Sorry, but I can't show the projects until after the 8th of September when the Workshop will be held.  But that's what is wrapped in tissue, and in some boxes inside this box.  Stampin' Up! also provided all the catalogs!

Here's just a sample of the 'extra' items Stampin' Up! provided me so that I can complete the projects....BONUS!!

I want to share more...
but I just can't yet....
I'm such a tease!

Sunday School

Sunday School
to inspire your Spirit

As a Christian, I choose not to work on Sunday.  Although my blog is scheduled and I am not actually creating this post today; I still have a strong belief that we all need to take a break for the Sabbath Day.  Each week my Sunday post will change from inspiring your creativity, to inspiring your spirit.  I hope you enjoy the messages presented here each week.

I Stitched A Card!

WOW!  Are You Surprised?

I love the look of cards that are stitched, but my sewing machine isn't in my stamp room and never feel like going to get it.  However, after poking the holes for this card, to be sure the stitches are even, when sewing I think I wouldn't mind doing this more often....but not by hand. I think I might just move the machine. LOL

Ribbon Flower

Wonderful You

I saw something on the front of a magazine and wondered if I could turn it into a card . . . and I did!

Supplies:

Stamp Set:  Loving Thoughts (w-#125843 C-#125845)
Card Stock:  Old Olive (#100702), Island Indigo (#122923), Naturals White (#102316),
and Cherry Cobbler (#119685)
Ink:  Cherry Cobbler (#126966)
Accessories:  Ruffled Ribbon - Lucky Limeade (#122977), Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons (#127555), Large Pearl Basic Jewels (#125577), Sponge Daubers (#102892), SNAIL adhesive (#104332 Refil #104331), Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430) Big Shot Machine (#113439), and Fashionable Hearts Embosslits (#125596)

Here's a little more information . . .

The hearts are adhered at 3 levels; flat, with 1 dimensional, and with 2 dimensionals. They are also sponged with the daubers and Cherry Cobbler ink.

The Ribbon flower was just wrapped back and forth as I stitched each layer to next ending by sewing on the button.  Then I just added the large pearl in the center to cover the stitching.

Here's a Close up!

Stationary

English Ivy
Simply Sentiments
With a
Monogram Stamp
You Can Customize!

The envelopes and writing paper in this kit are so elegant.  Frankly I was a little worried about stampin' on it.  I wasn't sure if it would be too much or take away from the elegance.  But I love it.  No need for a class on this one, just place your order and create away.  I used Chocolate Chip ink, I wanted it medium dark...what do you think?

This card is Sick!

Thoughts & Prayers

Who says a get well greeting can't be bright and happy looking?  Well, not my friend Tina.  Check this out!
The bright colors pop and will cheer up the receiver no matter what ails them!  Plus the added mini pearls from the Basic Pearls collection give it just a touch of bling...and we all know bling will make you feel better!

Again, a simple idea that looks like more because of the choice of Designer Series Paper, Basic pearls, and the great shape created by the Top Note die.

Simple, simple, simple!

Card Template

He Said - She Said

I always hear that people are looking for more 'guy' cards but they can't seem to get a handle on how to do it.  I am not all that great at it myself, but I have found that using a template helps me with switching it up!

Here's the template I designed

The Girl Card

Stamp Set: Stippled Blossoms (w-#126745 C-#126747)
Card Stock:    Primrose Petals (#126841), Pink Pirouette(#111351), and Whisper White (#100730)

The Guy Card

Supplies:

Stamp Set:  Lovely As A Tree (w-#115026 C-#127793)

FYI:  I cut the dies out twice and lightly trimmed the River Rock pieces to fit inside the Soft Suede pieces.  I also drew in the veins on each leaf.

I hope you liked this template.  Let me know if you used it, and please share you ideas!  I'd love to see them.  I will even post them if you are willing to let others see what you did!  (I do need your permission to do it...otherwise it's tacky LOL)

Until Next Time....
