Hey Chick Sale-a-bration stamp set

A quick share today of a fun card made using the FREE Sale-a-bration stamp set “Hey Chick” (Wood #143328 & Clear-mount #143331) Which you can get with just a $50 product order until March 31st.

The ‘chicken wire’ was made with the Watercolor Pencils (#141709 $16.) and the Hexagons Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (#143231 $9).  To emboss the wire I used an dried out blender pen dipped into a dab of VersaMark refill and adding it to the deepest crevice of the folder before embossing with the big shot.  This will allow the embossing powder to stick before you heat set it..  The heart is the from the Metallic Enamel Shapes (#141678 $7)

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Hugs, Karie B.

Paper Pumpkin - Feb 2017 Pull Box

Paper Pumpkin Alternative

Hello Again,

I wanted to share a quick video and a few alternative ideas for the February, 2017, Paper Pumpkin Kit.  The video is a bit rushed becausewell, it’s a been a while since I’ve uploaded one to YouTube and I am working on a learning curve to remember how.

Grab some popcorn and try not to laugh at my 'floppy' demo version of the box!

Below is the completed Pull Box

Here are the supplies and suggested card design in the kit:

Below are photos of other alternative ideas for the February Kit:

Two for Celebrating below

For the below card I put the words Happy Birthday To You on the "I" Block in a straight line and stamped it onto the Delightful Dejon card stock with the same color ink, then realigned the words for the oval (Stitched Shapes) sentiment in Night Of Nave ink.

Both the Above and the Below use the stamp set; Blooms & Wishes

I hope you enjoyed my crazy rushed and silly video!  More to come soon!!

Hugs, Karie Beglau

Throwback Thursday

As I am working on my blog posts I realized that I have a lot of photographs that you may have never seen.  What a perfect time to share them with you.  Although some of the products used might be retired, I thought you might own them, or something similar, so you would be able to recreate any projects I might share with you.  I hope you enjoy my walks down memory lane.

This Thursday I am sharing the Bridal Shower card I made for my daughter a few years ago.  It’s a pop-up card and I spent a bit of time on them even making the back of the dress because it could be seen in the mirror (made with foil paper, not actual mirror).  Also, if you look closely, you will that there is a photo of my daughter and her then fiancée. Their wedding colors were Navy, Rust, and Gray.  The invitation was a big hit with family & friends, but most importantly, my daughter loved them.

Inside

I am adding photos of my husband, Michael, me,
Paul (fiancée), Britnie (Bride-to-be)
and our son, Adam at the Bridal Shower.
.

I thought I would include a photo of the bride & groom just after the I do’s.
There were married under the same tree that Paul's parents were
married under.  It's in his parents backyard garden.

I'll share more oldies but goodies with you soon.

Until Next Time,
Hugs,

Karie
