Patriotic - Paper Crafting Blog Hop

Welcome to another Paper Crafting Blog Hop!  This month we are all sharing something of a patriot nature.  Since we are from all around the world you are sure to see some fun projects to inspire you!

I had to start with a throw back to a very popular card I made a few years ago.  This flag card is created using the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits set.  The stars are from a retired punch; however, the new Twinkle Builder punch would work great!  The card stock (cs) is Thick Whisper White, Real Red & Night of Navy.

This year I wanted to recreate the flag card using different products.  This one is super simple. It starts with Thick Whisper White cs again for the base and Lovely Lipstick cs was torn into strips to create the flag stripes.

I used Blueberry Bushel cs to cut the cute hearts using
the Everyday Jars Framelits to create the ‘stars’.

The sentiment is cut from Gold Glimmer Paper
using two different dies:
Happy Birthday Thinlits &
Large Letter Framelits.
Trimmed as shown in the photo.

Thinking 'outside the box' when using your dies and other supplies can give you many options for your projects.  This is just one suggestion, but I bet you will see more ideas when you look through your stash of goodies too!
I hope you will scroll down to the end of this post and leave a note to let me know what you think of today’s project.  Just remember to scroll back up and click the next button below to see what the next hopper, Terri, has to share with you.
