Stamp Of The Month
Just one
of 4 club projects in January
Last month for club the members
requested that we use the Tropical Chic Bundle (Full line catalog page
121). Because this club meets in my home
every month, or receive the projects in the mail, I make sure to create
full-color step-by-step directions for each one (usually four projects a month
made from the same stamp set).
Using the 'leaf window' that comes in the
Tropical Thinlits Dies (comes with bundle) we cut out the awesome shape
from a piece of 4.25” x 5.5” Whisper White card stock (cs). After stamping
the sentiment in in Costal Cabana ink I cut out the cs using the NEW
Rectangular Stitched Framelits Dies (Occasions catalog pg. 28). These are my favorite new dies!
To turn this into a shaker card I
added a piece of Window Sheet cut to fit behind the opening in the leaf pattern
(3” x 3”) and adhered it behind the cs.
Then I used the Foam Adhesive Strips to create a box on the Window Sheet. Before adding the sequins I used the
Embossing Buddy to lightly dust the sides of the adhesive strips and the window
sheet to keep the static under control. I
also cut another piece of Whisper White (3.25” x 3.25”), peeled off the
transfer piece from the adhesive strip and adhered the card stock to encase the
sequins. I added adhesive to this new cs
backing, however, I used additional pieces of the Foam Adhesive Strips on the
rest of the ‘back’ of the stamped Whisper White so that when adhered it to the
card base (Costal Cabana cs) it would be the same depth of the shaker box.
Lastly I stamped the individual
flower image in Melon Mambo ink and cut out using the coordinating Thinlits dies. It is adhered using Stampin’ Dimensional and
topped with a Clear Rhinestone-Basic Jewels.
It's What's Inside That Counts....so don't forget to add a few pretty leaves stamp in Coastal Cabana ink onto Whisper White cs.
