The club’s August Selection was
Wood Words
Today I am sharing the projects that
the club members made last Saturday, August 5th. All
of the club members opted to increase their club to include the bundle with the
Wood Crate Framelits this month. Bundles
are always a favorite optional choice with club members, if one is available.
This card was everyone's favorite. Here's how I created the chicken wire effect.
First, take a dried out blender pen and re-ink it with VersaMark Refill. I don't have photos of this part, however, the basic directions are to carefully pull out the two brush tips (careful not to crush them). I placed both into a small dish and covered them in the refill, then placed them in a ziplock type bag over night. before replacing the brush tips you can drop in a little of the refill into the barrel of the marker, but it won't take much because the refill liquid is rather thick.
Using the 'Embossing pen' you just created, add the ink to the valleys of the Hexagon Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Place the Very Vanilla card stock into the folder and run it through the Big Shot Machine. Remove the card stock and cover with silver embossing powder and heat. This technique is different every time you do it.
My sample was my favorite after making about 27 for a swap I was in. No two looked a like, your's will look slightly different from my sample as well.
