Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop-Aug2017

You Make Me
Ridiculously Happy

I am Very Excited about being a part of a Scrapbooking Blog Hop!  Especially since I am having so much fun playing with scrapbooking again!  Today I am sharing a two-page spread using a background of Lemon Lime Twist card stock.  What a fun and happy color!

The title & small sentiment are from the stamp set, Lovely Friends.  I think this would be a great generic title for pictures of your sweetie, your kids, your friends, or even your pets!  I stamped them both onto Soft Sky card stock in Night of Navy ink then matted that on to Night of Navy card stock.

I used those same colors of card stock for all the photo mats as well.  I like to include at least one large photo in a spread if I can, in this case a 5” x 7”.  The sentiment & other photo mat on the left page (above) are 3” x 4”.  Those on the right page (below) are 4” x 6”.

The smaller sentiment uses card stock sizes of 1” x 3” in Soft Sky and 1.25” x 3.25” in Night of Navy.

The die cut items are from the Eclectic Layers Thinlits (available by themselves or in a bundle with the Oh So Eclectic stamps).  The Diamond and long “whatchamacallit” have Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper as the background.  The diamond has the outline cut in Silver Foil Paper while the whatchamacallit is in Night of Navy card stock.

I did some fussy cutting to get the whatchamacallit to be a separate element.  It is meant as a window with just the connected diamond shapes cut out.

The flowers, also cut from the Eclectic Layers Thinlits Dies, use opposite colors made from Pumpkin Pie and Peekaboo Peach card stock.

The bottom border is cut from two pieces of Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper.  The mat layers are 12” x 2.5” and the top layer is 12” x 2”.

Until Next time . . .

Paper Pumpkin Alternative- June 2017

Paper Pumpkin
Alternative
(June 2017)

These are the projects that came with the June Kit.  If you made them exactly as suggested you would have 6 note cards & envelopes and 4 bags.

I have not had a lot of time to do alternatives for the June kit, in fact I just had the opportunity to play with this kit a few days ago...my box got hidden under a pile.  GASP!  I know!!!  What The Heck!!  LOL

Above is my alternative card that uses the part of the bag (the green boarder) and the front of a note card matted with Melon Mambo card stock.  The balloon image behind the sentiment is from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set.

My dear friend, Trevis, wanted to help me out with some extra ideas to share with all of you!  Below are her Awesome Alternatives for the June Kit!

I love how she has two versions of this card!  Filling in the seeds with a Basic Black makes it look so real!

She used the tissue paper for a background piece on this card!

I love the simplicity of this one!
This time she used the bag card stock for a background!

I think this one is my favorite!

Thanks For ALL The Support Trevis!  You are always there when I need you!
