Beautiful You

I don’t know for sure, but I think the Beautiful You stamp set must be among the most popular sets at Stampin’ Up! It’s so pretty (I tried to not say beautiful) because it can be used for so many occasions.

This first card is mostly CASE’d from a swap I received at a recent Stampin’ Up! OnStage event, Karen Monque.  For my version I used the Peekaboo Peach (a retiring In Color) and Basic Black card stocks and inks. The background is embossed using the Garden Trellis Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (TIEF), Layering Ovals and Stitched Shapes Framelits, Shimmer Ribbon in Basic Black, and the retiring Delicate White Doilies.

The second card has a Bermuda Bay card stock base, Pool Party card stock embossed with the Softly Falling TIEF matted with Basic Black card stock.  The sentiment is punched out using the now retired Decorative Label Punch, which I also outlined using a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker.  The focal piece is Watercolor Paper which I colored using an Aqua Painter pen and reinkers (Pool Party, Soft Sky, and Marina Mist) until I got the shades I wanted.  The dancing girl was stamped after the paper dried and then I used the White Chalk Marker to highlight parts of her dress.  The shadow below was stamped in Pool Party.

I know I will be doing more with this stamp set in the future and will be sure to share with all of you.

Before you go, I would love to have you leave a comment at the bottom of this post.  Let me know what you think of these cards or if you have any questions.

Until Next time . . .
                   Hugs, Karie B.

Tucked Arrow Card

I love Fancy Folds, don’t you?  Today I am sharing a spin on the Arrow Fold that I call the Tucked Arrow Fold.  You can watch me create it on the below video, but I am also including the template directions for you as well.

Tuck Arrow Fold Youtube video

Card 1
Inside
This card is made with one sheet of Share What You Love Designer Series Paper (DSP) cut at 4.24” x 12”. The ink is Bermuda Bay. The stamp set used is card 1 and card 2 uses the Detailed with Love (Coming June 1st) and the oval is cut out using the Big Shot and the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  This card also uses the Basic Black Shimmer Ribbon and Share What You Love Artisan Pearls.
Templates
The base template does not include the 4.25” score line for that extra fold I showed in the video, as it is optional depending on the thickness of your DSP.

Card 2
The base is made with Sweet Soiree DSP also cut 4.25” x 12”, the ribbon is Finely Woven in Berry Burst, and the ink is Marina Mist.

Card 3
The card base is Chocolate Chip card stock cut 5.5” x 4.75” scored at 4.25”.  The DSP (True Gentleman) is attached after the Arrow Fold is created, then covered the seam where they attach with Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon in Night of Navy.

Inside
The inside is the same DSP as used in the fold but into a triangle and adhere with the cut off ends flipped to review the other side.  I love how this turned out!  The stamp sets I used is Just Add Text and Paisleys & Poises (both retiring)
 Templates Landscape & Portrait

I Think this card can be created in any direction with any Designer Series Paper and/or card stock.  I’d love to have you share your versions of this style on my facebook page:  www.Facebook.com/MemoryINKers.

Until Next time . . .
