I don’t know for sure, but I
think the Beautiful You stamp set must be among the most popular sets at
Stampin’ Up! It’s so pretty (I tried to not say beautiful) because it can be
used for so many occasions.
This first card is mostly CASE’d
from a swap I received at a recent Stampin’ Up! OnStage event, Karen Monque. For my
version I used the Peekaboo Peach (a retiring In Color) and Basic Black card stocks and inks. The
background is embossed using the Garden Trellis Textured Impressions Embossing
Folder (TIEF), Layering Ovals and Stitched Shapes Framelits, Shimmer Ribbon in
Basic Black, and the retiring Delicate White Doilies.
The second card has a Bermuda Bay
card stock base, Pool Party card stock embossed with the Softly Falling TIEF
matted with Basic Black card stock. The
sentiment is punched out using the now retired Decorative Label Punch, which I
also outlined using a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker. The focal piece is Watercolor Paper which I
colored using an Aqua Painter pen and reinkers (Pool Party, Soft Sky, and
Marina Mist) until I got the shades I wanted.
The dancing girl was stamped after the paper dried and then I used the
White Chalk Marker to highlight parts of her dress. The shadow below was stamped in Pool Party.
I know I will be doing more with
this stamp set in the future and will be sure to share with all of you.
Before you go, I would love to
have you leave a comment at the bottom of this post. Let me know what you think of these cards or
if you have any questions.
Until Next time . . .
Hugs, Karie B.
