Today I am hoppin’ along with the Global Stampin’ Friends and our theme this month really threw me; Drinks Galore.  If you know me, you know that I do not drink alcohol or coffee and I had already shared ‘pop’ bottle cards a few times.  Still…I love the Bubble Over ‘bundle’ so I set my mind to coming up with something out of the box.

It's a Wedding Card!

I wanted to share the excitement of the happy moment while staying true to myself.  By using the Tropical Escape Designer Series Paper (DSP) to ‘fill’ my bottles, which I cut from Window Sheets, it gave a couples feel.  Then by tying the bottles with the pretty Metallic-edge Ribbon it evokes the marriage of the sweethearts.  The background Whisper White card stock is embossed with my favorite new Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder – Tufted.  The bubbles were embossed in clear then immediately sprinkled with Dazzling Diamonds while the images were still wet.

ICS Blog Hop Color Challenge

It’s time for another Inspire Create Share Blog Hop!  This time we have a fun color challenge as our theme.  

My card features the NEW Limited Edition Blended Seasons Bundle and uses all three colors, Blackberry Bliss for the card base and in for the sentiment from Hand Delivered (Hostess set), Costal Cabana for the background (embossed using the Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Impression Embossing Folder), and Flirty Flamingo is colored onto the ribbon with a Blends Marker and in the flowers using the Watercolor Pencils Assortment 2 (also available with Color Your Season promotion).

I colored the white one with a Blends Marker

Because I wanted to have the flowers extend outside of the cutting area of the medium size label from the Stitched Seasons Framelits Dies I stamped the flowers from the Blended Seasons stamp set (using Stazon Jet Black ink) onto Whisper White card stock, then positioned the card stock in my Big Shot ‘sandwich’ so that the top plate was only going to put pressure where I wanted it to cut.

I also want to point out that the three label dies have two ‘stitching’ areas.  It will add stitches to the inside of the cut out label, but will also leave stitching lines around the negative space left on your original piece.
