The reason to become a hostess is simple; to Earn FREE Products!  So, what does it take to be a Stampin’ Up! Hostess and earn those FREE Products?  It depends on what style of hostess you want to be.  There is the Traditional Hostess who invites her friends to her home, or other location, for a fun crafting event where a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, like me, shows products and helps everyone create a project or two.  There’s the Book Hostess who simply shares the catalog(s) with friends and collects orders.  The Facebook Hostess who gathers her friends to an event page where the demonstrator shares ideas via photos or videos, plays ‘games’ and she and her friends can win prizes.  There are other versions out there, but these three are the most common.

I love a textured background.  The new Garden Trellis Textured Impressions Embossing Folder is a favorite! I also used the Lemon Lime Twist Ombre Ribbon and the Pretty Label Punch.  So pretty!

Do you want to personalize your Designer Series Paper?  Try adding some wet embossing designs.  Simply stamp your design using VersaMark ink and sprinkle with the embossing powder color of your choice and heat set.  The above card using Whisper White powder.  To get the different colors of that same design onto the Whisper White card stock strip (with the sentiment) I colored the stamp using Stampin’ Write Markers.   I also wrapped Gold Metallic Thread around the left side of the card stock before adhering it to the card front.

Another textured background, this time I used the Ruffled 3D Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  I did wet the card stock first on this one so it would get a more defined impression without cracking the card stock.  The ribbons are Shimmer Ribbon in Pool Party and Pear Pizzazz.  I added one Glitter Enamel Dot in place of a brad or staple.  The flowers were colored with Stampin’ Write Markers before stamping.

Simple Thank You

Sometimes simple creations are the best.  This pieces uses just one piece of card stock, the base. It’s made from (the Oh-So-AWESOME) Thick Whisper White (which is now available in Very Vanilla too….LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!)  The ribbon is the same Pear Pizzazz Shimmer Ribbon used on the previous card.
