SBTD Blog Hop -Theme Week-Petal Passion Day 6

It’s time for another Stampers By The Dozen Blog Hop!  This month’s theme was ‘Critters’.  I think you are going to find there are some adorable cards being shared by all of the Design Team.  I hope you like my version of a ‘critter’ too.

... and Welcome to the last day of
Theme Week!

(for this month anyway)

Petal Passion Suite
Monday 2/12 – Saturday 2/17

This month I am showcasing another beautiful suite from the 2018 Occasions catalog.  This one includes Petal Palette stamp set, Designer Series Paper (DSP), Petals & More Thinlits Dies, and more.

I love the look of spring this card evokes.   Living in Michigan, where the state is shaped like a piece of winter apparel, I am more than ready for spring to arrive.  Until it does, creating cards in pretty soft colors will have to keep me inspired.  Some people may not consider birds as ‘critters’ as our hop  theme denotes, however, they qualify in my book.

The Petal Palette stamp set comes with just one bird facing right (blue).  However, I wanted two birds so I had to use a form of the 'kissing' technique to get the left facing bird (pink). Watch the video below for instructions, and see the details below the video.

Ink the stamp then 'kiss' another block
transferring the ink.

To cut the 'kissed' bird, place the Thinlit die upside down (cutting side up) over image and poke holes in strategic spots around the die.

Flip the card stock over and line up the thinlit to the holes and run through the Big Shot Machine.

I hope you come back again to see what I share next Monday.
