This month, because my birthday
is on Monday (5/28) I thought a good theme would be Birthdays! Birthday greetings are the most popular and,
let’s face it, there are more of them than actual holidays. Be sure to comment

Today I wanted to share how a
simple change can make a big difference. Both cards use the Painted Glass stamp
and same basic colors. The first card is
one I made at a recent Stampin’ Up! event.
It uses the some Coming-Soon New Products: Graceful Glass Vellum, In Color: Lovely Lipstick card stock and ink,
2 New Blends Marker (Dark) Colors in Lovely Lipstick and Pineapple Punch (another new In Color) and
1/8” Cord-black.
Stampin’ Up! Version
My Version
In my version of the card I use
the same Graceful Glass Vellum, just cut in a different direction, and rather
the stamp the sentiment in Memento Black, I used the new In Color; Lovely
Lipstick. I also changed the Blends by
replacing Lovely Lipstick with Dark Pool Party.
What made the big difference is that I cut a piece of Whisper White card
stock and placed it behind the vellum.
This made the colors brighter.
