This month’s Blog Hop theme is ‘gift packaging’. I am using the Acetate Card Box to create mine. Rather than fill this box with cards, which is a great gift in my opinion, you could fill it with candy, gift cards, a new cell phone, etc.
I started by embossing the word
Celebrate onto the box. To do this fold
over one side of the closing tabs and slide in the embossing folder. I placed the folder in the top third of the
box, landscape. In this photo I left the
closing tabs unfolded so you could see them.
Run the Acetate Card Box and Celebration Due Textured Impression Embossing Folder (Celebrate) through the Big Shot Machine – One Direction Only. Adhere to one side of the flaps closed using Fast Fuse or Tear & Tape adhesive. The folding process may create small score lines, however, they will not be noticed when you add the ribbon.
Cut a piece of Champagne Foil Paper to 11” x 6.75”. Score the back side, landscape, at ½”, 5”, 5.5” and 10 ½” (not shown ...oops). Turn the paper 45 degrees, portrait, and score at ½” and 1”. Trim as shown and press folds.
Cut a piece of Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) to 4 ¾” x 1 ½” and adhere to the Champagne Foil Paper at fold. Adhere the flaps of your Champagne Foil box closed using Fast Fuse or Tear & Tape adhesive. Slide the open-ended box into the Acetate Card Box.
Wrap ribbon around the box over
any score lines created by the closing tabs in the embossing process. I recommend you adhere the ribbon with Tear
& Tape. For my design I added the
bow over the top of the ribbon rather than try to tie it from a single piece of
ribbon.
Until Next time . . .
Hugs, Karie B.
