with the What’s New At SU? Group! I am happy that you are joining us for our hop. We are a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world who are Hoppin' With Exciting Ideas to share with you. Today we feature items from the NEW Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-bration Promotion! I know you will find a lot of wonderful ideas shared today.

Stampin’ Up! has challenged demonstrators
to get back to basics with some simple stamping ideas. Because we also love the advanced projects, many
of us are showing three versions of our designs.
That’s what I am doing here today.
All card bases come from the Happiness
Blooms Memories & More Cards & Envelopes and the Butterfly Gala Bundle
(stamps plus the Butterfly Duet Punch) both from the Occasions catalog. The Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper
(DSP) is one of the Sale-a-bration options.
The first one is the simple
version using one of the 4.25” x 3.25” note-size cards. The sentiment and outline butterfly images are stamped in Night Of Navy
ink on Whisper White card stock and simply added to the center of the card.
The second sample uses the same note-size card but has just a bit more for the intermediate stampers. The DSP is cut 4” x 2”
and adhered directly to the card front.
The sentiment and outline butterfly images are stamped in Night Of Navy
ink, while the ‘inside’ of the butterflies was first inked in So Saffron then
lightly sponged with Lemon Lime Twist ink on the edges before stamping onto the
project. The Whisper White card stock
(1.75” x 3 1/8”) is matted with Lemon Lime Twist card stock (1 7/8” x 3.25”). The items used with be enough to earn the
Botanical Butterfly DSP FREE!
The advanced version uses the
4.25” x 6.25” card size. This card is
similar to the note-size, but has added elements. The DSP is cut so that one butterfly was
fussy-cut hanging off the DSP, which is matted with Lemon Lime Twist card
stock. The extended wing of that butterfly
is ‘finger-curled’ and has a Stampin’ Dimensional behind it to keep it lifted
off the card.
The same sentiment & inks are
used as the first card, however, the Whisper White and Lemon Lime Twist (LLT)
card stocks are cut out using the NEW Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies. If you look close you will see that the
ribbon is wrapped around the DSP and the LLT card stock while the Whisper White
is lifted up with Stampin’ Dimensionals too.
I also fussy cut out an extra butterfly from the DSP and I used the same
curling technique to keep it lifted as well.
The Butterfly Elements (wood) is
also from the Sale-a-bration catalog. It
has been colored with a Night of Navy Blends Marker (dark) then a light touch
of Multi-purpose Liquid Glue and sprinkled with Dazzling Diamonds glitter. The items used on this project are enough to
earn both the Botanical Butterfly DSP and the Butterfly Elements FREE!
The card kit comes with these great matching envelopes!
