Merry Patterns

What a Fun Treat!  A special Free Gift for Hostesses in September and October!  You do not need to hold a standard party to earn this cute stamp set, you can gather orders or place a qualifying order yourself!

I wanted to texture the Real Red card stock so I used the Brick Wall Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for a background on the front of the card.  The Foil Snowflakes create a fun backing to the oval, which was adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I covered the letters before stamping the pine branches.  Stamp the image onto a Post-it note making sure that when you trim the letters they will have the sticky part included to keep them in place.

Afterwards I covered the words, including ‘tis the…’ with the Fine Tip Glue Pen to make them shine.

The Christmas versatility of this set is surprising, you do not have to make only Cards with it.  I made the above card for my son-in-law’s upcoming birthday (shhhhh!  Don’t tell him!!). The sentiment was cut once with Soft Suede then again with Very Vanilla to give it depth.  I also sponged the Wood Textures DSP after using the Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to give it some depth. The deer is adhered using Stampin’ Dimensionals on the body and the Fine Tip Glue Pen for the antlers and legs so that they didn’t get torn off the card or ribbon.  The ¼” Copper Trim Ribbon can be stretched to create a morphic shaped ribbon (FYI-it’s also a tube shape so you can actually add things INSIDE the ribbon!! – I’ll post on that soon too!).
