Designer Series Paper (DSP)

I am hope you are enjoying the
Theme Weeks I have been doing for the last few months. I really enjoy enjoying creating new ideas
for you. I picked DSP this time because
I know there are so many things we can do with it. From a basic background on a card, to
creating dimensions by cutting-crinkling-folding-and embossing. I will show each of these ideas this week.
I love making cards that can be
for either gender. I think this card
would be great for many occasions, but I like the idea of using for an invitation
to an open house, or really any event where the guests will come to your
home.
The background using a piece from
the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper (DSP) stack that I ran through the Big
Shot Machine using the Pinewood Planks Textured Impression Embossing Folder
(TIEF). I also sponged over the ridges with Whisper White Craft Ink.
The ‘bolts’ and door handle are
made by coloring White Perfect Accents with a black permanent marker before
adhering them to the project. I used Crumb
Cake Classic Weave Ribbon for the brace accent (faux wood). The handle base is cut with the Sliding Door Framelits Dies as was the hanging ‘hello’
design stamped from the Barn Door stamp set.
