Sweet Soire - Theme Week - Day 4

Welcome Back to Theme Week!
Sweet Soiree’ Suite
Monday 1/8 – Saturday 1/13

Welcome back to Day 4 of Theme Week! This time I CASE’d a card directly from the 2018 Occasions Catalog (page 10).  I think sometimes, as a Stampin’ Up Demonstrator, I feel like I have to amazing you with a new idea every time I post anything.  But the reality is that a good idea is a good idea the second time around too!  After all, if you compare the two cards mine is slightly different, as is usually the way with a CASE’d project.

1 – Fold a 4.25” x 8.5” piece of Old Olive card stock in half to create the card base.
2 – Using Old Olive ink stamp the word Celebrate from the Cake Soiree stamp set.  If you do not want the ‘stem’ to show, cover with tape before each inking and remove before stamping the image.
3 – Cute the following pieces for different pieces of the Sweet Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper (S-DSP).
          2.5” x 4    2.25” x 3.75”    .5” x 4.5”    &  .5” x 5.25”
4 – Adhere the largest of the pieces behind the next largest size with one of the sides matching evenly.
5 – Over the above, adhere one of the vellum foil flower images using Glue dots or Fast Fuse near the bottom of the image (it will be hidden by the next steps).
6 – Snip one end of the .5” x 4.5” piece of S-DSP and adhere near the bottom of the above combination, however, allowing the edges of the larger pieces of S-DSP to show below it.
7 – Using the Big Shot Machine and the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits (or the FREE Sale-a-bration Framelits – Celebrate You) cut out the sentiment from Berry Burst card stock. Adhere this word over the small strip of S-DSP using the Fine Tip Glue Pen (or pre-adhere the card stock by placing it in the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet before cutting it out--be sure the adhesive will end up on the back side of the words).
8 – Color just the word Celebrate with ink from a Berry Burst Stampin’ Write Marker and stamp onto a scrap of Whisper White card stock…trim closely. Mine is approximately 3/8” x 1.5”.
9 – Adhere the above Whisper White to a scrap piece of Silver Foil paper and cut closely to create a mat. Adhere this to the S-DSP combination just below the die-cut sentiment.
10 – Using the Big Shot Machine and the Sweet Cake Framelits cut out a few of the leaf patterns from Old Olive card stock scraps.  Add these behind the combine pieces from above.
11 – Add a few of the Vellum leaf punch outs from the Sweet Soiree Embellishment Kit.
12 – Loop the Bakers Twine a few times behind the same grouping before adhering to the card front.
13 – Cut a piece of Whisper White card stock to 4” x 5.25” and adhere the final .5” x 5.25” piece of S-DSP near the bottom of this piece before adhering to the inside of the card.

I hope you will come back tomorrow to see another fun card project using this beautiful suite of products.

Until Next time . . .
