Welcome to my First Ever Theme
Week! When I first saw the new Occasions Catalog back in November at the
Stampin’ Up! OnStage (convention) Event, I fell in love with this
suite of products, I think you will too.
Part of the OnStage experience is
that demonstrators have the opportunity to make projects with a few of the new
products. Above is the cute Silver Mini
Gable Box we made which uses the Beautiful Metallic-Edge Ribbon in Berry Burst
(YUMMY!), the Suite Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper (S-DSP), and has a cute
tag.
As this project was my first experience with this suite, I wanted to recreate it as the first project for Theme Week. My Gable Box also uses the Suite Soiree S-DSP, however, I used the not foiled side {gasp!}. In my defense, the non-foil side of all of this S-DSP, and the others in the Occasions Catalog, are just as lovely, albeit less shiny.
I also added a tag I made using
the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch and 1 3/8” x 3” piece of the S-DSP, which
I topped with another piece of the striped S-DSP, which I tore to create the
messy white edge. Both of these papers are foiled, although I think it may be hard to tell in the photographs. I then added the thin piece of Washi Tape from the Sweet Soiree
Embellishment Kit.
The sentiment is from the Cake Soiree stamp set on Whisper
White card stock cut with a 1” Circle Punch.
This is matted with Old Olive card stock that I carefully tore around to
create the matting. The additional flower pieces on the box are from the Sweet Soiree
Embellishment Kit too!
