Welcome back to Theme Week! Today
I am sharing a quick and easy birthday card, although you could use it for just
about any occasions with a change in sentiment.
Directions:
1 – Fold a piece of 4.25” x 5.5” of Berry Burst card stock to create
card base.
2 - Adhere a 1” x 5.25” piece of the striped Sweet Soiree Specialty Designer
Series Paper (S-DSP). To a 4” x 5.25” piece from the same S-DSP.
3 – Adhere a piece of Berry Burst 3/8” Metallic-edge Ribbon over the above combination to cover the ‘seam’ where the S-DSP overlaps.
4 – Adhere to the card front.
5 – Tie a bow from the same ribbon from step #3 and adhere over ribbon
strip with a couple of glue dots.
6 – Using the Cake Soiree stamp set add a sentiment to a scrap of Whisper White
card stock using Old Olive ink as well as a few flowers stamped with Berry
Burst ink.
7 – Cut out the above sentiment/flower design using the 2” Circle Punch.
8 – Create the mat for the above circle using Berry Burst card stock cut
with the Starburst punch.
9 – Adhere the circle to the starburst and
punch a small hole in the top with the 1/8” Handheld Circle punch.
10 – Tie the sentiment piece to the ribbon
using Silver Baker’s Twine.
11 – Don’t forget the inside of the card! I
used Old Olive and Berry Burst inks on a 4” x 5.25” of Whisper White card
stock.
