Welcome to another fun blog
hop! We are all so excited about the
Limited Edition Color Your Season group of products, which includes the Blended
Seasons stamp set, Stitched Seasons Framelits Dies, and the Watercolor Pencils
assortment 2. I shared a few examples
with this fun group last week, but this is a set that just keeps on
giving.
Again, I am sharing two versions
of the same card. While both require a
bit of fussy cutting, they are worth the effort!
The above card uses the items in
the special, however, I swapped the Watercolor Pencils Assortment 2 for some
Blends Markers. Here’s what I did: I created a frame by cutting out the medium
size label die Granny Apple Green card stock (cs), then cutting the negative piece
(non-label or label ‘hole’) again with the large label die. I love how this framelit makes stitching marks on both sides of the cut, shown below in Gorgeous Grape.
After running a 4” x 5.25” piece of Whisper
White cs through the Big Shot and the Layered Leaves Textured Impression
Embossing Folder, I cut out the medium shape from the center and added the
frame piece over the opening.
I stamped the flowers image
onto another piece of Whisper White cs using Memento ink and colored using Blends
Markers (see below in product codes). I added them all together matted on top of Granny Apple Green cs and added them to card base of Flirty Flamingo.
Lastly, I stamped and colored the flowers
again on another piece of Whisper White cs and cut them out to layer over the
top adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals, as is the sentiment.
It's hard to see in the photo, however, I did cover all of the flowers and leaves in Wink Of Stella to give a hint of bling.
To created the above simplified version
I cut the large labe shapel from the front of the card base and stamped the sentiment
onto Whisper White cs, this time with Stazon ink and colored with the
Watercolor Pencils Assortment 2 and adhered the colored piece behind the card front. I stamped and colored another flower image
and fussy cut out one the flowers to add to the front. I also cut out a few leaf shapes using the
Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies out of Vellum. For a
little bling I added sequins.
I hope you enjoyed my projects. Let me know if you have any questions!
