I'm excited to be celebrating the
‘birth’ of a fun group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators who get together each
month to share projects and ideas with each other and with each other’s
customers. I am honored to be a part of
this family and love sharing with you!
Some may see this card as busy,
however, due to the muted tones I hope you will agree that it a soft subtle
look. Here’s what I did:
1) The base is Thick Whisper White
card stock (8.5” x 5.5”)
2) The front is topped with a one of
the subtle sheets from the Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper (DSP) (5 3/8” x 4 1/8”)
3) Cut 3 strips of the floral DSP (5
3/8” x 1 ¼”), then adhere to front of card using Stampin Dimensionals.
4) Use the Big Shot to cut the large
floral shape from the Springtime Impressions Thinlits Die out of Whisper White
card stock (cs)
5) Use Stampin’ Write Markers or ink
pads & sponges to color the design.
6) Add scraps of card stock behind
the above image to create the lighter colors.
You will need to fussy cut the shapes (sorry, but it’s worth it).
7) Adhere the completed floral
design to a piece of Whisper White cs then fussy cut again leaving a small
outline. This will help make the flower
stand out from the DSP strips.
8) Adhere the floral design over the
DSP strips using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
9) Use a VersaMark ink pad to stamp
the sentiment of your choice (Shown from Painted Glass stamp set) onto Mellon
Mambo cs.
10) Heat emboss the sentiment
using White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and trim the card stock to the desired size
(shown 1” x 2 ½”) and adhere to card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
11) Add Pearl Basic Jewels to flower
center as desired.
